Job summary

Mercor is seeking a native Korean speaker to annotate and transcribe Korean documents for AI training data. You will verify pages, ensure legibility, and remove personal data before annotation. You will bound regions, assign component types and reading order, and link regions to corresponding figures or tables.

You will transcribe faithfully in Hangul with exact character accuracy and produce metadata for each page. A second Korean reviewer will review your work to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• Native Korean speaker with full Hangul fluency
• Character-level accuracy is critical for transcription and annotation
• Experience in bilingual transcription, editorial work, or AI training data is a plus

Responsibilities

• Open and verify tasks provided (PDF pages) for Korean content
• Annotate structure: bound regions, assign type and reading order
• Record relationships between regions and figures/tables
• Transcribe faithfully in Hangul, flag illegible regions
• Capture page metadata (language, document type, dimensions, etc.)
• Peer-review process: second Korean expert reviews work
