Job summary

INDIAN JUNCTION in Canada is hiring a kitchen/food service worker to support daily restaurant operations. In this role you will bring clean dishes to serving areas, stock and wrap foods, and help sanitize surfaces and equipment.

Work is on-site only in an urban restaurant setting with multiple locations; you will prepare simple items, package take-out, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen while working under pressure.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in food service.
• On-site work required in an urban restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Carrying and replace linen.
• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
• Package take-out food.
• Portion and wrap foods.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
• Handle and store cleaning products.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Clean kitchen and work areas
