Job summary

The Prince George Hotel, part of InnVest Hotels, seeks a Kitchen Steward to maintain a spotless, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in Halifax. You will support dishwashing, ensure sanitary practices, and coordinate with the kitchen and Food & Beverage teams.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding or kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishware, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Follow proper procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment (WHMIS)
• Support receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned
• Report safety hazards, incidents, and maintenance concerns
• Work closely with kitchen and Food & Beverage teams
• Take initiative to ensure the kitchen remains in top condition at all times
