Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise invites you to join our team as a Steward, supporting kitchen operations with cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.

In Banff National Park, you’ll handle dishwashing, equipment care and light culinary prep while following directions from our culinary leaders. The role offers on-site accommodations eligibility, meal perk, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time permanent staff.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or F&B experience is an asset but not required.
• Physically able to perform lifting, bending, and long periods of standing.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean dishes, cutlery, baking & buffet equipment.
• Operate industrial cleaning machinery and tools.
• Maintain clean and sanitary dishwashing areas and kitchen spaces.
• Assist with culinary prep as directed by CDP/Sous/Executive Chefs.
• General cleaning: mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, polishing.
• Lift 20-30 lbs.

Job Description

Our team is looking for dedicated and hardworking Stewards to support our kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency. If you have a strong work ethic, enjoy working behind the scenes, and take pride in keeping things spotless, we'd love to have you on our team!

Pay Rate: $20.45/hour

Job Duties Include

• Providing clean dishes, cutlery, baking & buffet equipment
• Operating industrial grade cleaning machinery and tools
• Upkeep clean and sanitary conditions of dishwashing areas and relative kitchen spaces
• Assisting with culinary prep duties and adhering to requests by culinary CDP, Sous, and Executive Chefs
• General cleaning - mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, cleansing, polishing
• Lifting 20-30 lbs

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or food and beverage experience in a fast paced environment is an asset, but not required
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
• Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including pushing, pulling, bending, heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
