Job summary

Orange Seeds Montessori is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support meals and snacks, maintain clean and safe spaces, and monitor supplies across classrooms. You will help with routines related to mealtimes and ensure a welcoming environment for children and staff.

The role includes covering shifts when coworkers are away and following licensing and safety procedures to maintain high standards of care and safety in a busy early learning setting.

Qualifications

• Meal and snack support skills for preparing, serving, and cleanup.
• Ability to follow licensing regulations and safety procedures.
• Willingness to cover shifts during breaks, lunches, and absences.

Responsibilities

• Meal and snack support: help with preparing and serving snacks and meals, cleaning up afterward, and supporting routines related to mealtimes.
• Facility upkeep: assist with general upkeep of shared spaces such as washrooms, kitchenettes, and storage areas. Ensure cleanliness in common areas and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Inventory and supplies: monitor classroom and center-wide supplies (e.g., diapers, wipes, paper towels, cleaning products, art materials) and notify administration when restocking is needed. Help organize and replenish supplies as necessary.
• Compliance and safety: follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and health and safety procedures to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children and staff.
• Staff coverage: fill in for absent team members, including during breaks, lunches, and planned or unplanned absences across all classrooms (indoor and outdoor).
