Job summary

Big League Food Company is seeking a hands-on Prep Kitchen team member in its Mississauga factory kitchen. You will assist with knife skills, prep salads, wraps, and dressings, roast nuts, portion dips, and ensure clean, organized production areas while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires 1–5 years in food production, ability to lift 40 lbs, and strong English communication in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen prep, including knife skills, slicing, shredding, deli slicing, and portioning.
• Prepare salads, wraps, parfait jars, sandwiches, soups, dips, dressings, and marinades.
• Roast nuts and assist with baking and decorating bakery items.
• Prepare and organize orders and packaging while maintaining accurate order sheets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area, including equipment and dishwashing.
• Monitor production issues and take proactive steps to resolve them.
• Follow all quality, health & safety, and food safety standards.
• Be a positive, reliable, and collaborative team member.

Position Summary

This role is part of our Prep Kitchen team in our factory kitchen, supporting daily food preparation and production. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable with kitchen prep, knife skills, shredding and slicing, deli slicing, blending dressings and marinades, building salads, wraps, parfait jars, and sandwiches, as well as roasting nuts, portioning dips, and preparing soups. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and cleanliness. This position is for an existing vacancy.

Compensation

Pay & Schedule

• Salary: $18.00-$20.00 (including bonus & gratuities)
• Schedule: Sunday to Friday, 9Am to 5PM
• Full Time Role - 5 days week
