Job Opening: Food Service Kitchen Manager

The Oxford Hills School District is accepting applications for the position of Food Service Kitchen Manager at The Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris, ME.

Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School serves approximately 1100 students in grades 9-12. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students, employ effective teaching practices, and work collaboratively.

This position is Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Previous experience in food service preferred
3. Supervision experience preferred
4. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
5. Ability to apply technology to the performance responsibilities

Reports To:

The Food Service Director

Supervises:

Food Service Assistants

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Support the district’s mission and goals
2. Oversee the use of the kitchen by staff and community members
3. Promote excellent customer service
4. Approve and forward food service expenditure warrants to the Central Office
5. Take inventories, ensure proper food storage and security, and monitor for waste
6. Prepare and send supply orders and reports
7. Assign and supervise Food Service Assistants
8. Oversee kitchen use by staff and community members
9. Wash serving utensils, pans, and trays
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director
