The Kitchen Manager at Canada's leading casual dining restaurant, Boston Pizza, oversees the daily operations of the kitchen, including managing, scheduling, training, and controlling food and labour costs. The Kitchen Manager leads the team during operations, focusing on serving perfect food every time and working with a sense of purpose and urgency.

Additionally, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, as well as the receiving and preparation of all foodstuffs according to BP policies and practices. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring that our most important people—our guests and team members—have an excellent Boston Pizza experience from start to finish. They demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities, champion a fun and safe work environment, and contribute to a thriving workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with Boston Pizza standards and Alberta Health Services regulations
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, line checks, and safety audits to uphold food safety and quality
  • Manage food and supply inventory, control costs, and minimize waste
  • Drive sustainability goals—reduce packaging costs by 12-15% compared to 2024
  • Maintain equipment functionality and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Lead, coach, and develop your kitchen team with ongoing training and performance reviews
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and motivating work environment

Goals You’ll Be Measured On

  • 100% compliance on audits (AHS, CBSA, Steritech) with zero P1 or P2 violations
  • Staff turnover rate
  • Positive guest and team satisfaction feedback

Qualifications

A proactive, hands-on kitchen leader with strong organizational and communication skills. Passionate about food quality, safety, and team development. Experienced in high-volume kitchen environments. Knowledgeable in AHS food safety standards and audit protocols.

  • Food Safety and First Aid certification
