Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn food preparation, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while training others to become Kitchen Leaders. You’ll uphold quality, safety, and teamwork to deliver a great customer experience.

The role emphasizes keeping a clean, stocked, and well-maintained kitchen, serving as a model for Crew, and meeting station goals with a hands-on, fast-paced approach.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.
• Provide at least four days of open availability each week, with at least two of Fri/Sat/Sun.
• Be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Follow Chipotle policies and procedures; prepare delicious food to order and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized; maintain equipment in good repair.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Complete MSDS and FIFO documentation.
