Job summary

McMurray Group of Companies at A&W Whyte Ave is seeking a Kitchen Crew member to help prepare food and keep the kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers on-the-job training, opportunities for advancement into cross-trained and leadership positions, and benefits including medical and dental coverage and employee discounts. Shifts are late at night with up to 40 hours per week, and English is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

• Prepare A&W menu items following food safety and quality standards
• Cook burgers, fries, breakfast items, and other products efficiently
• Assemble orders accurately, even during busy periods

Kitchen Operations

• Keep workstations stocked, organized, and running efficiently
• Restock fridges, freezers, and ingredient stations
• Monitor food levels and communicate needs to the team

Cleanliness & Safety

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
• Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, prep surfaces, and utensils
• Assist with dining room, restroom, and exterior cleanliness to maintain a positive guest experience

Teamwork

• Work closely with Cashiers, Supervisors, and other team members
• Communicate clearly during rush periods
• Support a positive, respectful workplace
