August 8 Restaurant in Hamilton Downtown is seeking Kitchen Helpers / Line Cooks to join the team. You will assist in daily kitchen operations, support chefs, and help maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

Position Overview

We are currently seeking Kitchen Helpers / Line Cooks to join our Hamilton Downtown location. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and passionate about food preparation. You will assist in daily kitchen operations, support chefs, and help maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, cutting, portioning, and plating according to recipes and standards

Support chefs in preparing sushi, dim sum, teppanyaki, or hot dishes depending on assignment

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations

Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency

Qualifications & Skills

Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred, but training available for motivated candidates

Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
