Job summary

Manning Park Resort is seeking a Kitchen Helper & Dishwasher to join our Food & Beverage team. The role involves washing dishes, preparing ingredients, and supporting kitchen operations in a busy environment at Manning Park Resort, BC.

Join a year-round resort with staff housing and a focus on outdoor recreation and hospitality. Immediate start date; experience is helpful, FOODSAFE is a plus, and physical tasks are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• FOODSAFE certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.
• Prepare meal ingredients for cooks (wash, peel, cut, slice).
• Assist kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks.
• Store ingredients and food items per food safety standards.
• Maintain high personal hygiene in the work environment.
• Remove garbage, replace bags, and wash garbage cans.
• Mop and sweep kitchen areas as required.
• Other tasks as required within Manning Park Resort.

We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Kitchen Helper & Dishwasher to join our Food & Beverage team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

• Properly wash and dry all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.
• Preparing meal ingredients for the cooks, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients.
• Assisting kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks.
• Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
• Maintaining an elevated level of personal hygiene in the work environment.
• Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans.
• Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required.
• Other tasks as required within MPR.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen experience is an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and twisting
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Must be self-motivated and a high energy individual.
• Must be able to multi-task & have strong organizational skills.
• A willingness to learn.
• FOODSAFE certification is an asset

This is a year-round position with an immediate start date.
