Job summary

Manning Park Resort is hiring a Resort Attendant to join the Housekeeping team in a year-round capacity. The position includes cleaning guest rooms, laundry, and common areas, with cross-training to support other departments. Staff housing is available, and the start date can be in September or December depending on need.

The role requires understanding of hotel operations and may benefit from prior housekeeping, laundry or janitorial experience. A BC driver’s license is an asset.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hotel and housekeeping operations.
• Previous housekeeping, laundry or janitorial experience is an asset.
• BC Class 5 or 7N driver's license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, cabins, & chalets to a high standard within the time given.
• Maintain laundry operations and ensure timely turnover of linen.
• Clean lodge, pool, restaurant, banquet rooms, washrooms and common areas daily.
• General cleaning of offices and public areas; vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and waste removal.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols and report room deficiencies.
• Assist other departments with duties around the resort and possible front desk/banquet support.

This is a year-round full-time position with a start date in September or in December.

Wage: $19 - 23, based on experience

We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Resort Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you!

The Resort Attendant is responsible for undertaking all aspects of the housekeeping, laundry, and janitorial operations. Whether it’s getting our guest rooms ready, cleaning common areas of the resort, or working in laundry operations, this role requires flexibility in working in all areas of our accommodations department. Variety and cross-training are key components of this position. As this role is unique and built to support various areas of our operation, there will also be cross-training and work opportunities with front desk and banquet services.

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to):

• Clean rooms, cabins, & chalets to a high standard and within time given. This includes stripping and making beds, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning the kitchens & living areas, and removing all garbage from inside and outside areas.
• Ensures that all room amenities are in place
• Ensure the lodge, Loon Lagoon (pool & fitness facility), restaurant, banquet rooms, washrooms and hallways are cleaned to a high standard daily.
• General cleaning of offices, public areas including; vacuuming/sweeping/mopping/dusting/ sanitizing walkways and stairways, dusting and wiping down high touch surfaces, washing windows, removing garbage
• Ensure all the Resort’s laundry is separated, cleaned, folded, and stacked in a timely manner
• Monitor and maintain the turnover of laundry in an efficient manner to meet set productivity standards
• Keep Laundry area in order and prioritize laundry duties for the day
• Monitor stock levels and report anything to be ordered in a timely fashion
• Follow safety protocols, including adherence to hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Deliver additional linens & guest amenities to accommodations
• Complete all guest requests in a timely manner
• Report any room deficiencies to the RA Supervisor/Manager
• Perform general outdoor cleaning duties, including snow removal from building entrances in the winter.
• Possible work in other departments such as banquet set-up/tear-down
• Assist other departments with general duties around the resort

Requirements:

• Understanding of hotel and housekeeping operations.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry or janitorial an asset.
• A valid class 5 or 7N driver's license valid in BC is an asset.
