Job summary

Tina Cake Desserts in Vancouver is hiring a dishwasher to support our busy kitchen. You will clean and sanitize dishes, stock supplies, wipe surfaces and help with basic prep as needed. No formal education required and English language ability is essential.

The role is in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for overtime and weekend shifts. Work hours range from 30 to 40 per week; occasional on-call duties may apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen items; maintain clean work areas.

• Clean tables, chairs, counters and equipment; wipe surfaces.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies; dispose of waste.
• Sweep, mop and polish floors; ensure food prep areas are tidy.

Tasks

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
• Place dishes in storage area
• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Scour pots and pans
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Handle and store cleaning products
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
