Job summary

ESS Canada is hiring for a General Help to support daily operations, including cleaning, food preparation, serving meals and dishwashing. The role requires flexibility for 10‑hour shifts with a 14 on/7 off rotation and potential heavy lifting up to 40 lb.

A valid Food Handler Certificate is required, and Indigenous applicants may receive preference in line with commitments. The hourly wage is $19.97, with travel and accommodation provided and benefits after 3 months.

Qualifications

  • Previous food service experience in a restaurant, banquet or camp setting is an asset.
  • You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage workload.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team setting as required.
  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Minor heavy lifting may be involved (up to 40 lb.)

  • Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
  • Food preparation and cooking as needed.

Job description

Position Requirements:

  • Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
  • Shift: 10hr/Day
  • Rotation: 14 Days on/ 7 Days off
