Job Description

As the Kitchen Attendant, you are responsible for creating inspired and memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will support the culinary team by assisting in various tasks, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. We provide training, tools, support, and feedback to help you succeed; achieving excellence is up to you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor during all guest interactions and respond appropriately to requests and complaints.
  • Ensure effective communication between departments to support hotel operations.
  • Assist in basic food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, peeling fruits, and preparing ingredients.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans manually or using dishwashers. Keep the kitchen area clean and organized.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment like stovetops, ovens, grills, and fryers.
  • Replenish kitchen supplies to ensure a well-stocked environment.
  • Dispose of waste properly following sanitation procedures.
  • Assist in storing and rotating food items to maintain freshness.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic kitchen.
  • Report safety hazards immediately to the Executive Chef to protect colleagues and guests.
Experience, Passions, and Education
  • Valid FoodSafe certificate or Level 2 Food Safety certification preferred.

Working Conditions

This role may involve day, afternoon, or evening shifts, including weekends, with long days during busy periods. It requires continuous physical movement, lifting up to 30 lbs., and managing multiple tasks. The environment can be fast-paced and high-pressure, with temperature variations between the front and back of house.
