Job summary

Cedarcrest Foundation in Belfountain, Ontario seeks a Kitchen Assistant to join its Conference Centre team. You will support the culinary staff and help deliver quality guest service in a hands-on role.

This position is full-time or part-time, with weekend and holiday shifts, paid training at Ontario minimum wage, and benefits including health and vacation pay. Transportation is expected. Join a team that values reliability, cleanliness, and food safety.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Reliable transportation to Belfountain, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Wash work surfaces, meat blocks, cupboards, walls and appliances; clean kitchen areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
• Sweep, mop floors; assist cook and kitchen staff.
• Remove and clear kitchen garbage.
• Unload/bring dishes, carry linen to laundry area; set tables and carry items to serving areas.
• Clear and clean tables and trays in eating establishments.
• Follow cleaning standards and maintain hygiene in kitchen and serving areas.
• Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and storage areas.
• Help wash, peel and prepare basic food items and beverages.
