You will help maintain clean dining areas, monitor dishwashing temperatures, and assist with catering while upholding food safety and cleanliness standards. This role involves lifting up to 25 pounds and requires Food Safe Handler's and First Aid CPR Level C credentials, plus a vulnerable-sector police check.

Qualifications

• Working in fast pace environment with tight deadlines.
• Lifting up to a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Food Safe Handler's certificate from a recognized institution.
• First Aid CPR Level C Certificate is required.
• Police Check with Vulnerable sector is mandate.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks, sous chef, and chef in providing high quality food to residents and for ensuring that all dishes are clean according to ware washing procedures.
• Ensure dining area tables and dining room is kept clean at all times.
• Record dish machine temperatures and test water to ensure concentration of cleaning solution is correct.
• Assist with all catering functions.
• Liaise with immediate supervisor to inform, consult, and problem-solve regarding any serious problems/concerns encountered in providing service.
• Ensure surrounding area is kept clean and maintained according to procedures.
• Ensure all required information is exchanged between staff members during shift exchange.
