Job summary

CBI Health in Greater Toronto, ON is seeking a Kinesiologist, Work Injury Management to support disability management claims, conduct employer assessments and build rapport with clients through excellent service.

You will coordinate return-to-work programs, perform ergonomic assessments and contribute to health and safety initiatives within our Workplace Solutions division. Wage range: $25.64–$30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of clinical experience.
• Registration in good standing as a Registered Healthcare Professional, preferably as a Registered Kinesiologist.
• Experience with ergonomics and WSIB clients is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle access.
• Familiarity with OHSA, WSIA, AODA and PHIPA.

Responsibilities

• Complete functional assessments and provide exercise prescriptions to address discomfort.
• Coordinate stay at work / return to work programs for injuries.
• Support WSIB case management process.
• Perform ergonomic hazard identifications and develop controls.
• Complete Office Ergonomic Assessments, PDA, CDA, POET and FAE.
• Develop wellness initiatives, outreach and education programs for employees.
• Assist with investigations and prepare reports for employers.
• Provide secondary support to Health Centre nurse and JHSC.
• Maintain documentation of all programs and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do each day

• Complete functional assessments and provide exercise prescription to address reports of discomfort.
• Coordinate stay at work / return to work programs for both occupational and non-occupational injuries.
• Support WSIB case management process.
• Complete industrial ergonomic hazard identification, assessment, and development of controls.
• Complete assessments such as Office Ergonomic Assessments, Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Cognitive Demands Analysis (CDA), Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) and Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE).
• Develop wellness initiatives, outreach, risk reduction and education programs for employees and provide job coaching as necessary.
• Assist with investigations and prepare reports for employers.
• Provide secondary support to Health Centre nurse and JHSC.
• Maintain documentation of all programs, metrix and ensure regulatory compliances are met.

What You Need To Be Successful

• Approximately 2 years of clinical experience.
• Registration in good standing as a Registered Healthcare Professional, with preference given to Registered Kinesiologists.
• Experience with ergonomics, Worker’s Safety Insurance Board clients and job site observation is an asset.
• The ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable access to your own vehicle.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, AODA and PHIPA.
• Empathy with an effective ability to build rapport with patients.
