Job summary

CBI Health in Sarnia, ON is seeking a Kinesiologist / Exercise Therapist to join our interdisciplinary clinic. You will design and implement therapeutic exercise programs, treat MVA, LTD, WSIB and private patients, and collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to support return-to-work and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario or plans to become registered by Fall 2026.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Desire to continuously improve skills and build rapport with patients.
• Experience with interdisciplinary care is an asset.
• Experience with chronic pain, concussion management and chronic conditions is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Treat MVA, LTD, WSIB and private patients in a gym setting.
• Work under the direction of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist on treatment progression and management.
• Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to meet client needs.
• Complete employer assessments to confirm job demands (PDA, POET, FAE).
• Prepare progress and discharge reports as delegated by the clinician.
• Assist with return-to-work planning.
• Keep gym area presentable, organized and safe.

Wage range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Take an inside look at what you'll do each day

• Treat MVA, LTD, WSIB and private patients in a gym setting
• Work under the direction of the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist in matters regarding treatment, progression of treatment and management of the client
• Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet the identified client needs
• Complete employer assessments such as Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) and Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE) to confirm job capability of essential job demands
• Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician
• Assist the treating clinician with return to work planning
• Ensure the gym area is presentable, organized and free of obvious safety hazards

What You Need To Be Successful

• A degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
• Registration in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario or plans to become registered by Fall 2026
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
• The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• The desire to work hard to improve your skills
• Empathy with an effective ability to build rapport with patients
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to facilitate our clients’ needs by exceeding their goals
• Experience in interdisciplinary care considered an asset
• Experience with chronic pain, concussion management and chronic conditions considered an asset
