Job summary

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a Kinesiologist or Physiotherapy Assistant for our Ontario outpatient clinics in Midland, Collingwood and Barrie. This casual part-time role offers mentoring by a physiotherapist, ergonomic assessments, graded exercise programs, and exposure to work-conditioning and work-hardening cases.

You'll join a team of clinicians dedicated to helping clients return to life, with growth potential into a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program or PTA/OTA program.
• 2+ years of experience considered an asset.
• Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists or PTA/OTA diploma.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart
