Job summary

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a Kinesiologist or Physiotherapy Assistant to join our outpatient team in Ontario. The role involves ergonomic assessments, work conditioning, and functional testing under physio supervision, with opportunities to advance.

Based in Midland/Collingwood/Barrie area, the casual part-time position offers growth into a permanent role and exposure to complex rehab cases within a collaborative clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program or PTA/OTA program
• 2+ years of experience considered an asset
• Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required or PTA/OTA diploma

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform ergonomic assessment, POET’s, work hardening and facilitating FCE’s. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.
