Job description

POSITION : REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST

LOCATION : Nordel

STATUS : CONTRACTOR

Clinical duties include :

• Evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients with various injuries and conditions, aiming to assist their return to work.
• Implement, monitor, and progress exercise and work simulation programs.

Additional responsibilities :

• Manage resources, schedule clients, track attendance, ensure report timeliness, and communicate with stakeholders (insurance company, employer, physician, etc.) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist.
• Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
• Monitor GRTW plans to facilitate successful outcomes.
• Work with clients referred by ICBC.
• Provide personal training and individualized kinesiology services.
• Mentoring and training will be provided.
• The Kinesiologist will work independently and as part of a team including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Counselors, and Administrative Staff.

Qualifications :

• Experience in evidence-based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological, or mental health practice, emphasizing active rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability.

Education : Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent.

Memberships & Associations : Registration with BCAK, required.
