Lifemark Physiotherapy Saint John is recruiting a Kinesiologist to join a dynamic outpatient clinic in Saint John, NB. The position is permanent full-time and will involve ergonomic assessments, work hardening, and collaborative care with a team of clinicians.

The successful candidate will promote client recovery through graded exercise, FCEs, and functional testing while engaging in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a University Kinesiology program.
• 2+ years of experience is considered an asset.
• Strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments in collaboration with clinicians and case managers.
• Design, implement, and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts regularly.
• Work with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return-to-work plans with client and employer are documented in the chart.

The successful candidate will posses the ability to perform ergonomic assessment, POET’s, work hardening, facilitating FCE’s and training opportunities available . This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.

Your Day-to-Day:
