Job summary

Momentum Health in Calgary, AB seeks a full-time Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. You will deliver Therapeutic Exercise programs, assist assessments, and support a collaborative care team in a busy clinical setting.

The successful candidate has a Degree in Kinesiology, strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and a dedicated patient-focused approach. Prior experience in physio/multidisciplinary environments is an asset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Kinesiology.
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Previous volunteer or work experience in a Physiotherapy or Multidisciplinary clinic is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening.
• Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations.
• Learn and administer hands-on treatment techniques including trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching.
• Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation.
• Assist with clinic upkeep and greeting patients to ensure a comfortable experience.

Job description

Required Hours: Tuesday to Friday 7am-1pm and Saturday 8am-2pm. Must be flexible with schedule.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation: $18-$20 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

• Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening
• Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations
• Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching
• Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation
• Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
• Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic

The Successful Candidate will have the Following Qualifications

Degree in Kinesiology

Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Previous volunteer or work experience in a Physiotherapy or Multidisciplinary clinic an asset
