Job summary

Upper Canada District School Board is hiring a Registered Early Childhood Educator to support the kindergarten program under the direction of the Principal. The role involves planning, setting up, implementing, and assessing learning experiences in collaboration with the classroom teacher.

Eligibility includes a university degree or a 2-year ECE diploma, and registration in good standing. Experience in English and/or French settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree in early child development or a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Minimum of 2–3 years recent experience in related child care.
• Assignments may include English and/or French classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with teaching staff to achieve goals.
• Plans and delivers learning experiences for kindergarten students.
• Supervises students and ensures safety in the absence of the teacher.
• Communicates effectively with parents/guardians and staff.
• Supports student wellbeing, health and inclusion in the classroom.
