Hours of Work: 37.5 weekly - Monday to Friday - 8a-3:30p

Overview

As a Kikinaw Coordinator, you will be part of the Kikinaw Residence and Women's Housing Leadership Team, reporting to the Kikinaw Residence Manager and under the general supervision of the Director of Housing. Your primary responsibility is the Eagle Staff Hill program that supports women on parole, working with residents and Correctional Service Canada to create a positive communal environment and foster a healthy team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide client service to women on parole in the Eagle Staff Hill program.
  • Collaborate with team members and Correctional Service Canada to establish a supportive environment.
  • Contribute to a healthy team culture, promoting collaboration and respectful handling of challenging issues.
What We're Looking For – Education
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human justice, addictions, or an equivalent combination of education and well‑established experience in a related field.
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with women experiencing homelessness, addictions, mental health challenges, poverty, and other complex issues.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Strong crisis intervention, counselling, and case management skills.
Assets & Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Indigenous culture and its relation to colonization and continuing oppressive practices.
  • Cultural awareness and respect for women of various backgrounds.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check and fingerprints for an advanced clearance check.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
