Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Regional Key Account Manager oversees and leads account management activities for their respective accounts. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with major key accounts. The role involves driving sales and revenue growth of the Wine & RTD portfolio in the Ontario Market, implementing strategic sales initiatives, understanding customer needs, developing business plans, and coordinating activities across departments to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Key Account Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts by understanding their business objectives, identifying growth opportunities, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop account/supplier-specific strategies and initiatives.
  • Responsible for achieving targets such as revenue, volume, and market share.

Forecast and Trade Spend Management:

  • Develop and manage accurate sales forecasts for key accounts, considering market trends, historical data, and activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align supply and distribution plans to meet customer demand.
  • Monitor trade spend and promotional budgets, ensuring effective utilization and ROI while maintaining profitability.
  • Analyze sales data and promotional effectiveness to inform future strategies.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, monitor account performance, and identify improvement areas.

Market Analysis and Insights:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Conduct market research, analyze data, and provide insights to guide decision-making and growth.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including portfolio management, marketing, operations, business intelligence, and finance, to execute sales and marketing plans effectively.
  • Manage product launches, promotional activities, and logistics to meet customer expectations.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular sales reports, performance analyses, and forecasts for management.
  • Monitor key metrics, identify trends, and develop action plans to meet sales objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years managing a major key account or regional market.
  • CPG experience (a strong asset).
  • Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry (a strong asset).
