Key Account Manager

Location: Scarborough, ON

Salary Range $112,000 to $133,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Manage sales activities within the assigned territory or region, ensuring the achievement of sales growth, targets, and KPIs.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives within the territory.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill customer requirements and achieve a high level of satisfaction.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and implement long-term growth strategies with clients.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Coordinate activities leading to customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • CRM Management: Generate customer leads into opportunities and document them in the CRM system.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly management reports of new business achievements, activities, opportunities, and targets.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Drive sales opportunity funnel management in CRM and aligned digital sales tools to ensure opportunities are duly followed up, won, closed, and reported on promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities related to the function comply with relevant corporate policies, business processes and procedures, Acts, legal and professional standards, and the SKF Code of Conduct.
  • EHS Compliance: Promote awareness of risk and safety requirements and ensure compliance with SKF EHS policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management, business development, or a related role within the industrial distribution sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the industrial distribution market and its dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel 50% or as needed to meet customer and business needs.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated and execution-focused with an ability to meet/exceed deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Project management and common tools used for driving sales funnel management.
  • Office 365 skills (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power BI).
  • Strategic Business Planning: The ability to implement and execute long-term strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Basic Product Knowledge: Understanding the specifications, applications, and benefits of seals and related products.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Developing and implementing effective sales strategies tailored to the seals market and end users.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the seals industry.
  • Market Analysis: Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and identifying opportunities within the seals sector.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate product benefits and technical details to customers both internally and externally.
  • Problem-solving: Addressing technical challenges and finding solutions to meet customer needs while aligning with other support functions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiating contracts and deals to maximize profitability and longstanding partnerships.
  • Sales Process Management: Overseeing the sales process from lead generation to execution.
