The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Christmas Kettle Campaign Coordinator to ensure smooth daily operations, maximize volunteers and donations, and maintain compliant kettle coverage across locations during the 8-week campaign.

This temporary role starts Nov 2, 2026 and runs through Jan 8, 2027, requiring evening and weekend hours, capacity to lift up to 12 kg, and strong communication with volunteers and donors while representing the organization professionally.

Formación

Responsabilidades

  • Attend training & orientation on The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign & Salesforce
  • Review the Kettle Playbook
  • Coordinate Kettle deliveries to locations prior to volunteer arrival at Campaign onset
  • Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion. Coordinate kettle counting volunteers, ensuring kettles are counted daily
  • Record kettle revenues daily in the online Kettle system
  • Troubleshoot Tip Tap issues
  • Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to Administration
  • Orient and remind volunteers on proper Kettle handling and duties as required
  • Supervise, support and assign (as required) Kettle Volunteers throughout the Campaign
  • Participate in the recruitment of new volunteers
  • Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently
  • Submit timesheets and mileage reports accurately and timely (bi-weekly basis)
  • Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs
  • Most duties performed outside regular office hours
  • Co-ordinate & attend special event kettle locations
  • After the campaign: Retrieve, pack up & place in storage all equipment from various kettle locations
  • Package and ship the return of Tip Taps
  • follow up with contacts at Kettle locations and prepare thank you letters
  • prepare an overall report on the campaign to be submitted to the Officer
  • Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Job Description

Position Purpose Summary: The Christmas Kettle Campaign Coordinator work is focused on ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Kettle Campaign, maximizing volunteers and donations and ensuring competent and compliant Kettle Coverage for all areas.

This is a Temporary position.

Term of contract: 8 weeks, Nov 2, 2026 to Jan 8, 2027

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend training & orientation on The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign & Salesforce
  • Review the Kettle Playbook

  • Ability and willingness to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check screening.
Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $18.25 to $22.23 with a maximum of $26.20.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
