Job summary

MEDA Engineering & Technical Services is seeking an experienced KBE (BIW) Engineer to support an automotive client. Hybrid role in Windsor, ON 2-3 days/week with possible full onsite later. Travel to the US for meetings is required from day one.

Requires a driver’s license and clear driving record. Responsibilities include CAD modeling using KBE templates, defining architecture, and creating master development and packaging sections for exterior plastic parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or EE) or equivalent.
• Self-starter with strong communication and the ability to handle complex assignments with limited supervision.
• Experience in plastic injection molding for exterior parts (bumper, grills, brackets).
• 2+ years of CAD modeling with Siemens NX or other CAD systems (Catia, SolidWorks).
• 2+ years of solid modeling and 2+ years of parametric modeling with Siemens NX.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD solid models using Knowledge Based Engineering templates.
• Dictate architecture and construction techniques.
• Create master development, packaging, and requirement sections.
• Define master template modeling structures.
• Design exterior plastic automotive parts.

Job description

We are recruiting an experienced KBE (BIW) Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry

NOTE:

• Hybrid working position in Windsor, ON 2-3 days per week with the potential to be fully onsite in the future
• Must be willing and able to travel to the US for meetings without restrictions from first day of work
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating CAD solid models for commodities using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques
• Dictating architecture and construction techniques
• Creating master development / packaging / requirement sections
• Defining master template modeling structures
• Specific design commodity exterior plastic parts

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or EE) or equivalent bachelors degree with experience
• Self-starter, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle increasingly complex assignments without constant supervision
• Plastic injection molding experience with exterior parts such as front and rear bumpers, grills, bracketry etc.
• 2+ Years of CAD modeling with Siemens NX or other CAD systems ( Catia, Solid works etc.)
• 2+ Years of Solid modeling
• 2+ Years of Parametric CAD Modeling with Siemens NX

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ Years of experience in exterior parts, plastic injection molding experience
• 5+ Years of CAD Solid modeling and Parametric Modeling with NX

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $40.00 - $43.57/hour (depending on experience)
• Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
• Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work
