Job summary

Chinook School Division in Vanguard, Saskatchewan, is hiring an Educational Assistant at Vanguard School. The position is permanent part-time (0.917 FTE) and supports students in one-to-one and classroom settings within a diverse and caring school community.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience.
• Ability to work with students in one-on-one and classroom settings.
• Experience in a K-12 Educational Assistant role.
• Experience or ability to work with young children.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills; able to work in a team.
• Positive attitude toward change.
• Interview will be required.
• Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation.
• Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with a student's educational program.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced student-centered environment.
• Meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required.
• May involve some lifts and transfers.
• Other duties as assigned.
