Job summary

The Chinook School Division is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students at Creston (Bench) Hutterian School. This is a permanent full-time position (1.0 FTE / 6 hours per day) with opportunities to contribute to a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.

Start date as soon as possible; end date December 22, 2026. Qualifications include an Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience, and a willingness to support health, hygiene and inclusive practices within a team

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience
• Ability to work with students one-on-one and in classroom settings
• Experience with young children or to work with diverse learners
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Positive flexible attitude towards change
• Interview will be required
• Willingness to respect Hutterian culture

Responsibilities

• Assist with a student’s educational program in a fast-paced, student-centered environment
• Work as a team member to support inclusive education
• Meet health and hygiene needs of children as required
• May involve lifts and transfers
• Other duties as assigned to support student learning
