Flair Airlines is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst (Co-op Student) to support day-to-day IT operations at our Edmonton or Toronto offices. You will assist with onboarding, hardware setup, and incident resolution while developing skills in systems administration and IT service management.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Must be eligible to participate in a recognized co-op or internship program.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer hardware; ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN and DNS.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and endpoint management tools.
  • Experience with Jira Service Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve IT support requests via ticketing system.
  • Configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and end-user equipment.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding by provisioning accounts and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with account administration, password resets, and access management.
  • Install software, patches, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Document incidents and resolutions for knowledge base.
  • Track IT assets and lifecycle management.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
  • Participate in IT projects and system upgrades.
  • Follow IT security policies and best practices.

Your Team:

Join the Information Technology team at Flair as a Junior Technical Analyst (Co-op Student), where you will gain practical, hands‑on experience while supporting day‑to‑day IT operations in a fast‑paced environment. Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, you will provide frontline technical support; troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues; support employee onboarding and offboarding; maintain IT equipment; and assist with technology initiatives, all while developing your skills in technical support, systems administration, networking, and IT service management.

This role is an on‑site position based in either our Edmonton, AB or Toronto, ON office.

A Day in the Life:

As a Junior Technical Analyst (Co-op Student), you will:

  • Provide first‑level technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve IT support requests through the organization's ticketing system.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other end‑user equipment.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing equipment, provisioning user accounts, and ensuring timely access to required systems.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with user account administration, password resets, permissions, and access management using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Install software, security patches, updates, and perform routine system maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, technical procedures, and resolutions to support the IT knowledge base.
  • Track and manage IT assets, including inventory, equipment assignments, and lifecycle management.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT team members when appropriate.
  • Participate in IT projects, technology deployments, hardware refreshes, and system upgrades.
  • Follow company IT security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect organizational systems and data.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Education:

    • Solid working knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer hardware, with the ability to troubleshoot common issues independently.

    • Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and DNS.
    • Knowledge with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and endpoint management tools.
    • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management).
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills.
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Requirements:
