Job summary

Trulioo in Vancouver is seeking a goal-oriented, high-energy, Junior Software Engineer Co-op to join the Collider team. This 8-month fixed-term position is based out of our Mount Pleasant office with a hybrid model and three in-office days per week.

You’ll work on core backend solutions, API integrations, data analytics, and frontend features, collaborating with Senior Engineers to design scalable components while applying agile methods and Microsoft stack or ReactJS.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• Experience with UI development using Microsoft stack.
• Familiar with .NET/ASP.NET MVC/Web API or ReactJS/JavaScript.
• Exposure to databases like MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a cross-functional feature team to deliver complete, high-quality, end-to-end solutions.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering and Product to expand stories into tasks and work on removing impediments.
• Collaborate in meetings with Senior Engineers to integrate deliverables, optimize the automation processes, and plan future implementations.
• Based on user story acceptance criteria, design a scalable, robust, and reusable solution.
• Document and communicate designs to others on the team.
• Contribute to guidelines and coding standards for building reusable components.
• Participate in peer design and code reviews.
• Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and other project risks.
• Provide input into product road maps, negotiating compromises between business and technical constraints.
• Provide input into process improvement initiatives to improve quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Use AI skills to augment tasks like investigations and implementations.
