Job summary

emergiTEL Inc. is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to join their DSG team on a 10-month contract with work-from-home arrangements. The role emphasizes cyber security risk assessments and security-by-design practices for business requirements and projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Business, Risk, Privacy, and Technology teams to assess risks and provide security recommendations, documenting SAR and QRM processes and seeking approvals where required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in secure design and project risk assessments across cloud, on-prem, and SaaS environments
• Strong knowledge of information security standards and frameworks (e.g., CSA CCM, ISO, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53)
• Experience in a consulting role working with Technology, Project, and Business stakeholders
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Working knowledge of AI systems and security controls applicable to AI technologies
• Experience providing security recommendations based on application security testing (Secure Code Review, DAST, SAST)
• Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies for applications and services
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate risks and recommendations to leadership
