Jatom Systems Inc.-CAN is seeking an entry-going Cyber Security Analyst to perform frontline monitoring, triage, and escalation for the security program.
You will work under guidance from senior team members, handling routine incidents and supporting vulnerability management, GRC, and compliance tasks.
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will provide frontline monitoring, triage, and escalation support for JSI's cyber security program. This is an early-career individual contributor role with no team leadership responsibilities, designed to build toward more senior security work under the guidance of senior team members.
You will report to the Senior Manager, IT/IS/Cyber Security Operations for people management, and take technical direction, task prioritization, and day-to-day operational guidance from the Cyber Team Lead and Senior Cyber Security Analysts. This role follows established playbooks and escalation procedures, building toward greater independence and judgment over time.
The purpose of this role is to provide reliable, well-documented first-line monitoring and triage across JSI's security tools and Service Desk tickets, ensuring potential threats and incidents are identified and escalated quickly and accurately. The position supports the broader Cyber Team by handling foundational, high-volume tasks so Senior Analysts and the Team Lead can focus on complex investigations, strategic work, and program ownership.
This role also serves as a development path into more senior cyber security positions, with structured exposure to vulnerability management, incident response, and GRC processes under close mentorship.
This role description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Duties may evolve over time and may be adjusted to meet organizational needs. The successful candidate may also be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a background check prior to employment
