Job summary

Golden West Broadcasting in Strathmore is seeking a Junior Account Manager to join 104.5 More Country and StrathmoreNow. You will develop new business by outbound calling, identify client needs, and sell advertising packages to local clients.

You will partner with other Account Managers, coordinate with support teams, and use planning tools to track progress toward targets, ensuring smooth handovers and long-term success.

Qualifications

• Experience with outbound calls or prospecting is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to client needs.
• Comfort with digital planning and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Junior Account Manager, you’ll work with new business clients to:

• Prospect for new business through outbound calling and local outreach
• Act as a first point of contact to identify potential client needs
• Sell advertising packages including station promotions
• Partner with Account Managers to hand over new clients after the initial sale, ensuring a smooth transition and long-term success
• Coordinate with our support teams to deliver on your clients’ orders
• Use our sales planning tools to track outreach and progress toward targets
• Meet performance goals based on outreach and package sales
• Occasionally participate in client meetings
• Confident making outbound calls and engaging clients over the phone
• Curious, coachable, and hungry to grow
• Proactive and goal driven — you see opportunity and take action
• Tech-savvy and able to use digital tools for planning and reporting
• Previous experience in telesales, customer service, or sales support (an asset, but not required)
