Job summary

Trillium Rail Partners is seeking a Junior MEP Project Coordinator to join the SRS team in Mississauga, supporting design-build delivery of MEP systems for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work with design partners, client reps, and trades.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of construction coordination, ability to read complex drawings, strong organization, and a collaborative mindset to drive project execution across seven stations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Systems, or Construction Management.
• 1–3 years of experience coordinating construction works, ideally in transit or institutional projects.
• Proficiency in reading drawings for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Collaborative attitude suited for a PDB environment with evolving designs.
• Meticulous attention to detail to identify spatial clashes and manage documents.

Responsibilities

• Review design deliverables with engineers during PDB development to ensure constructability.
• Coordinate 3D BIM models to cross-reference MEP with structural, tunneling, and architectural systems.
• Track actions from design workshops with Metrolinx and consultants.
• Maintain logs of design changes and impact on quantities and pricing.
• Participate in site safety inspections and toolbox talks, reports hazards.
• Review shop drawings and equipment data for specification compliance.
• Coordinate site delivery schedules for major equipment (ventilation fans, substations, signaling).
• Prepare weekly progress reports and track schedule milestones.
