Job summary

Magna is seeking an Engineering professional in Canada, Ontario to create and maintain 2D/3D CAD models and drawings within TeamCenter. You will process CAD data, update BOMs, support engineering changes and assist with launches and production readiness across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have CAD experience (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks/AutoCAD), GD&T knowledge and strong organizational and communication skills. Local travel and a team-oriented environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Understanding of GD&T, APQP, PPAP and PFMEA principles.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings and layouts.
• Process CAD data and translate files into usable engineering formats.
• Maintain engineering databases, CAD directories, BOM structures and drawings.
• Update drawings, models, BOMs and related records during engineering changes.
• Assist with launch activities, equipment reviews and production readiness.
• Develop detailed component, fixture, tooling and poka-yoke drawings.
• Support PFMEA, control plan and process documentation updates.
• Track engineering change timing, status and completion requirements.
• Prepare reports and project summaries.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance and suppliers to resolve issues.
