DWF in Calgary is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate (2–4 years’ call) to join our leading insurance defence team. You will work closely with experienced counsel, handle diverse civil matters, and build advocacy skills in a collaborative environment.

This role offers hands-on mentorship, opportunities to appear in mediations and hearings, and a path to develop a practice within one of Canada's growing litigation groups.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of post-call civil litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance defence litigation is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Alberta Rules of Court and litigation procedures.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to client service.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the Alberta litigation team you will manage and contribute to insurance defence and civil matters.

Requirements

We are looking for a lawyer who brings:

• 2–4 years of post?call civil litigation experience


• Experience in insurance defence litigation is preferred; candidates with strong civil litigation experience from other practice areas are encouraged to apply
