Job summary

DWF (Canada) seeks an experienced Litigation Associate (5–9 years’ call) to join our Calgary office. You will handle own files, work directly with experienced counsel, and receive hands-on mentorship to develop a long‑term practice within a collaborative team.

You will manage insurance defence and civil matters, contribute to strategy, and engage in professional development while supporting clients and colleagues across the firm.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of post-call civil litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance defence is preferred; civil litigation experience from other areas is welcome.
• Familiarity with the Alberta Rules of Court and litigation procedures.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Sound professional judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client service.
