Job summary

Rexel France is seeking a Junior IT Workplace & Infrastructure Analyst in Mississauga, ON. You will support IT projects and daily operations, helping identify improvements and troubleshoot issues across Microsoft 365 and related technologies.

You will work under guidance, collaborating with IT colleagues, learning quickly, and escalating complex matters as needed. A strong communication skill set and foundational IT knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years in IT support or desktop support.
  • Windows 11 Desktop Support experience.
  • Basic Windows Server knowledge: AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP.
  • Exposure to Linux server is a plus.
  • M365 administration including Entra ID, Groups, licensing, SharePoint/Exchange Online.

Responsibilities

  • Support IT projects and operations under guidance of senior team members.
  • Identify improvements in IT infrastructure and workplace technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate IT issues.
  • Follow policies, guidelines and standards for tasks and recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with end users and stakeholders about issues and resolutions.
  • Manage tasks, meet deadlines, maintain documentation.
  • Learn new technologies and escalate complex issues as needed.

Job Description

As theJunior IT Workplace & Infrastructure AnalystinMississauga, ONyour responsibilities include the following:

  • Support analysis activities for IT projects and operational initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement within IT infrastructure and workplace technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate issues with IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and related integrations.
  • Follow established policies, guidelines, and standards when performing technical tasks and making recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with end users and internal stakeholders regarding technical issues, status updates, and resolutions.
  • Manage assigned tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain organized documentation.
  • Analyze and help resolve routine problems where business process and software functionality may not align.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with IT team members.
  • Learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior analysts or other appropriate teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years of experience in Information Technology, IT support, or Desktop Support.
  • Windows 11 Desktop Support.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments, including:
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • DNS
    • DHCP
  • Basic Linux server support exposure is an asset.
  • M365 administration exposure, including:
    • Entra ID users, groups, and licensing
    • Enterprise applications
    • SharePoint and Exchange Online administration
  • Exposure to networking concepts such as:
    • VPN
    • TCP/IP
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • Firewalls
    • Proxy
  • Experience using ticketing/ITSM tools such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
  • Working knowledge of IT security concepts such as the CIA triad, least privilege, and hardening.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Other Skills (not required):
  • Microsoft Graph or API integration exposure
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler VPN end-user support
  • Experience with IAM concepts
  • Exposure to tools such as Cisco Umbrella, Qualys, or Sophos EDR
  • WordPress support
  • Migration experience from third-party domains, email systems, or tenants
Relevant Certifications:
  • Microsoft certifications in progress or completed are an asset, such as:
    • Azure Administrator Associate
    • Identity and Access Administrator Associate
    • Endpoint Administrator Associate
    • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification
  • Linux certification such as RHCSA or LPIC-1 is an asset
Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD 55000 – 65000. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
