Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada seeks an Operator Interface and GUI Designer to join the Land & Joint Solutions team. You will contribute to GUI firmware/software for embedded military hardware, using SAFe practices and collaborating across product teams.

The role emphasizes translating GUI concepts to developers, creating assets, and delivering innovative front-end designs for complex operations with strong communication and teamwork. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, HCI, Software Eng or related discipline.
• Demonstrated GUI/UX design experience for software and firmware products.
• Experience translating GUI concepts to development teams with asset creation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an interdisciplinary project team environment.
• Develop GUI firmware or software designs for embedded hardware using SAFe.
• Create functional and innovative GUI designs for complex operations.
• Define UI requirements and analyze implementation.
• Prepare and review design documents.
• Document analysis, design and test activities per standards.
