Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is seeking an Operator Interface and GUI Designer to join the Land & Joint Solutions group. You will design graphical user interfaces for embedded hardware and software, collaborating across interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and innovative UI solutions.

You’ll translate user needs into visual designs, create development assets, and support iterative prototyping using tools like Axure, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• GUI design and UX experience for software/firmware products.
• Ability to translate GUI concepts into development assets.
• Experience prototyping with GUI tools (Axure, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong front-end UI design skills across iterative development.
• Able to work independently and in a team within SAFe environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in interdisciplinary project teams.
• Develop GUI firmware/software for embedded devices or complex apps.
• Create assets and requirements for UI implementation.
• Prepare and review design documents and tests.
• Document analysis, design, and testing in line with standards.
