Job Description

Our client in the Financial Services industry is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst for a 3-month contract to hire. Responsibilities include:

1. Prepare and process daily bank deposits
2. Manage upload and download of daily bank files
3. Record, apply, and reconcile customer payments promptly
4. Maintain communication with the processing center regarding receivables, including restructures, adjustments, and refunds
5. Investigate and allocate unallocated cash to appropriate accounts
6. Review, process, and apply chargebacks to merchant accounts using the bank’s Scheduler system
7. Assist the Controller with month-end closing activities

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience (minimum one year in an accounting role)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
