Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support ambient air monitoring networks in Ontario. You will operate and calibrate air samplers, maintain equipment, and manage atmospheric data while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety in outdoor field conditions.

We’re looking for an Environmental Field Technician to join our team in Ontario to support the operation and maintenance of a network of specialized ambient air and meteorological monitors located throughout Lambton County. You’ll gain valuable field experience operating and maintaining specialized testing instrumentation, understanding and complying with environmental regulations and quality management systems, and develop strong trouble‑solving abilities. The responsibilities will consist of technical/field skills, regulatory and safety awareness and problem‑solving communication skills including; Equipment Handling Operate, assemble, and calibrate air samplers, gas analyzers, and meteorological sensors. Maintenance Repair and troubleshoot equipment sensors, electronic circuits, data loggers, and telemetry networks. Data Management Record, analyze, and audit atmospheric data using specialized software and spreadsheets. Navigation & Fieldwork Read maps, use GPS for remote site access, and work safely in outdoor weather conditions Compliance Apply local and national environmental regulations regarding air contaminant limits, we well as maintenance and operation of equipment utilized for regulatory reporting following quality system protocols. Safety Follow workplace procedures and maintain training and certifications Problem‑Solving Diagnose equipment failures and inaccurate readings independently in the field. Communication Write clear field reports and explain technical results to team members. Ensure precise sample collection and data recording.

The base salary range for this position is $47,300.00 to $82,700.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
