Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support ambient air monitoring networks in Ontario. You will operate and calibrate air samplers, maintain equipment, and manage atmospheric data while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety in outdoor field conditions.

As part of a team, you will gain field experience, travel to sites, and work with engineers and project managers to advance environmental projects and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 2- or 3-year College Diploma tailored for working with specialized environmental testing instruments.
• Ability to travel for field projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Operate, assemble, and calibrate air samplers, gas analyzers, and meteorological sensors.
• Maintenance, repair and troubleshoot equipment, sensors, data loggers, and telemetry networks.
• Record, analyze, and audit atmospheric data using specialized software and spreadsheets.
• Navigate using maps and GPS, access remote sites, and work safely in outdoor conditions.
• Follow local and national environmental regulations and quality system protocols.
