Job summary

Black Healthcare Professionals Network seeks a Junior Events Planner to assist the Events Manager with organizing three key events, handling logistics, vendor coordination, and execution. The role supports marketing efforts and attendee communications while maintaining event records and budgets.

Hybrid remote in Brampton, ON, with site visits and occasional in-person meetings. Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM; car access recommended.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in event planning or coordination is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of events are well-coordinated and executed.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, including team members, vendors, and event participants.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and other Google platforms.
  • Experience with event registration platforms and social media tools is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly resolve issues as they arise and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude, ensuring all event attendees have a smooth and enjoyable experience.

  • Oversee attendee registration, track RSVP responses, and manage communication with event participants.
  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist with compiling event reports, tracking key metrics, and documenting lessons learned for future events.

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.The role is primarily remote, except for site visits, occasional in person meetings, meeting with vendors and attending events. The candidate should have access to a car.


Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal


Pay: From $20.00 per hour


Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brampton, ON
