Job summary

MPE, a division of Englobe in Sudbury, Ontario, is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to contribute to the Water Resources team. The role involves design and project management across a broad range of water resource projects with a preference for candidates in Sudbury or across Ontario.

The successful candidate will work on hydropower development, water management, dam safety, flood mitigation, and related infrastructure, collaborating with clients to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university.
• Registration with PEO or another provincial regulator as an Engineer (P.Eng. or E.I.T.).
• 0–4 years of experience in project management, design, hydraulics, and construction contract administration in hydropower, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering.
• Self-motivated with leadership, project management and client management experience; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties.
• Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.

Description

The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills in a wide variety of water resource projects. We are open to applicants across Ontario, but preference will be given to those in Sudbury.

Qualifications
